2020 Women’s Conference

The Annual Women’s Conference scheduled for July 11,2020 in Jamaica was cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic. However despite this, we were still able to share with the women in two churches. At Ebenezer Tabernacle Church in Rockfort we looked at how the pandemic had caused us to cover our mouths in the Hebrew Year "Pey", which signified the year of the mouth. We considered how, when we should be decreeing, how even international social events highlighted how we were hardly able to even breathe. We spoke about the virus being spread by respiratory droplets and likened it to what proceeds out of our mouths. The question was "What are you saying??" Each lady was given a small silk scarf that could either be used as a face covering, or as a reminder to carry a good thing in a challenging time.

At Maranatha Christian Church in Waterhouse, we likened our lives to making jewelry. Each lady was provided with material to make a necklace, and we highlighted five points:

1 . God pre-prepares for each person's existence:- Material was laid out for each lady.

2. A mixture of all types of material can create something of worth:- Different life experiences can still turn out good.

3. God will send help along the way:- There were two or three persons there helping ladies put their necklaces together.

4. Something broken is not something destroyed:- Even with beads falling to the ground or the string breaking,
the necklace could be completed.

5. God will make something beautiful of your life:- The end result was that each lady had a necklace to show for her efforts.
